VICTORIA HOUSE

A 1920s neoclassical building which balances the relationship between old and new
— STUDIO THIRTY THREE

Between the layers of history and its latest renewal the boundless Bloomsbury building provides interdisciplinary functions; comprising of retail and hospitality spaces, offices and public areas.

It can be daring to integrate present day design concepts within such a historic space - notably architect Will Alsop achieved this with the introduction of two suspended meeting pods within the buildings light-wells.

Together with our client, workplace provider LABS, the buildings interior was reimagined with a notable furniture collection. The selection focused on organic shapes and free flowing design, whilst successfully fulfilling typical office functions and requirements.

An exclusive focal point of the interior compilation includes a limited edition collection by British designer Fred Rigby, a collaboration of Rigby’s original style and the LABS brand.

Enhancing the character of the listed building, a complimentary and hard wearing mix of materials and textiles were selected. Bringing an increased layer of design history into the architecture, creating a photogenic interior to be admired for years to come.
